After getting a BA in Art from Amherst College and an MFA in Cinema from Columbia University, I made films in New York for a while. I plunged into spirituality with the Hare Krishnas as Art Director of their magazine, Director of the Washington DC center, and Writer-Editor for their publishing outlet in Los Angeles. Practicing astrology occupied me until I worked as Production Coordinator for Gem Media, the in-house ad agency of the Gemological Institute of America in Santa Monica. Moving with my family to the mountains of North Carolina, I inked designs on stones, showing my work at local arts & crafts fairs and conducting a workshop at ArtPark in upstate New York. The Hendersonville store of The Fresh Market opened with me as Bulk Food Manager, or 'the Guru of Bulk' as they called me. Five years later my wife Ellie, daughter Uma and I moved to Sebastian, Florida. I was reporter and columnist for the Sebastian Sun until my dream came true. I'd always wanted to work in a library. The Library in Sebastian took me on, first as Circulation Supervisor and finally (after I more or less created the position for myself) as Library Computer Specialist. Now I'm retired, or as I put it, 'graduated.' It's time for me to devote myself to my digital art - new graphics and the ones I've created over the years. I hope you enjoy them!
